Recycle a Bottle, Receive a Discount: Help SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium Fight Plastic Pollution & Get Free Kids Aquarium Admission
Kids Go Free When You Turn in a Plastic Coca-Cola or Other Bottle Between
April 22 (Earth Day) and May 31
TEMPE, Ariz. (April 18, 2019) – A new partnership between SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium and Coca-Cola seeks to eliminate plastic from the world’s oceans. The Arizona Mills Mall attraction and the iconic beverage company are calling on the community to help reduce plastic waste, one bottle at a time.
Starting Earth Day (April 22) and continuing through May 31, anyone who brings an empty plastic bottle to SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium for recycling will receive a free kids admission in exchange for their efforts.
“We’re excited to launch this partnership with Coca-Cola, and we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work together and help create a world without waste,” said SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium’s General Manager, Claudio Di Capua. “Healthy and clean ocean habitats help ensure that all sea life can survive and thrive, and by offering half-off admission in exchange for plastic bottles, we can give those who donate an up-close look at some of the species they’re helping save.”
In 2018, The Coca-Cola Company announced a global ambition to create a World Without Waste” by collecting and recycling the equivalent of a bottle or can for each one it sells by 2030. The Company will also make all of its packaging fully recyclable by 2025 and significantly increase the amount of recycled materials it uses in its products by 2030. To do this, Coca-Cola is working to increase recycling collection rates and inspiring consumers to recycle by illustrating the potential good that can be created from a recycled bottle or cans.
